On March 20 at Yerevan's musical school after Tigran Chukhajyan students from "Endanik" Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science took part in the 3rd Republican Sayat-Nova Festival Competition of Young Musicians organized by the World Association of Performing Arts. The aim of the competition was to give the students an opportunity to present their performance capabilities and gain experience of participating in national competitions.
About 94 pupils and individual performers from musical schools and colleges of Yerevan and different regions have participated in the competition-festival.
Four singers representing ''Endanik'' center's Singing Art group performed in two nominations: "Classic Vocal" and "Folk", representing Italian and Armenian folk songs.
As a result of the competition Rubik Asatryan and Angelina Papikyan in the third age group took the 1st and 2nd honorary places in ''folk songs'' nomination and Garnik Avagyan took the first place in the same category of the first age group. Norayr Hakobyan with his performance and sound data shined in the classical vocal category in the second age group and won the 1st prize.
On March 29, a solemn awarding ceremony was held in "Endanik" center for the prize winners of the republican contest-festival. The winners presented their performances during the festival.
Vice President of the World Association of Performing Arts Vigen Tanashian highly appreciated the work of the newly created Singing Art group and awarded the contest winners with diplomas.
Congratulations to "Endanik" center on the occasion of ordinal victory.
