2014-01-29 — The Armenian Army Turns 22
A festive atmosphere filled the welcoming hall of Military Unit 55035 in Gyumri. Students of Gyumri State Vocational School No. 4 and students of the “Ընտանիք” Children and Youth Creative Center had come to the military unit to extend their holiday greetings.
The Armenian National Army is 22 years old…
The national anthem of Armenia was played, and the Armenian tricolor waved proudly. Students from the vocational school and the Center took the stage, captivating those present with their inspiring speeches, vigorous dances, and military-patriotic songs.
Everyone looked proud—from the officers to the youngest teenagers, because the occasion was a glorious one, and the Army’s proud path is one that has passed through the life of every Armenian and been engraved in the heart of every Armenian.
After each artistic performance, thunderous applause filled the hall, symbolically weaving together the exploits of the Armenian soldier. With every proud and powerful dance step, one could imagine being transported to the battlefield, while the sweet melodies of Armenian songs instinctively carried the listener to the trenches, where the Armenian soldier would dream of returning home, to his beloved mother…
The performances by the students of the vocational school and the Children and Youth Center were complemented by brilliant performances by young award-winning singers from Gyumri. They gave unforgettable moments to the officers and soldiers of the military unit and helped strengthen their fighting spirit.
With its artistic and educational significance, the event completed the series of festive celebrations, contributing to the upbringing of the Armenian soldier in the spirit of national identity and patriotism.
The event was supported by the Women’s and Youth Councils of the Gyumri-2 Territorial Organization of the Republican Party of Armenia.
