“Tears Through Laughter”
On April 18, the “Ընտանիք” Children and Youth Creative Center hosted a literary and musical event entitled “Tears Through Laughter”, dedicated to the Western Armenian satirist Ler Kamsar. The event brought together lovers of humor, including the Center’s students, university students, teachers, parents, and members of the Writers’ Union.
The aim of the event was to highlight the role of humor in life, create a joyful atmosphere for those present, and teach the students how to properly present satire on stage.
The students of the Poetry Theatre group presented a performance inspired by Ler Kamsar’s works, portrayed his character, and shared information about the satirist’s life and reflections.
Poems dedicated to laughter were recited to the accompaniment of music. At the same time, students from the Art group spontaneously created caricatures of the attendees in the hall. Displaying these drawings brought great admiration and laughter from the audience.
“There is no life without laughter; that is my calling—to make you laugh with my humor, to walk alongside you, and to be among you,”—with these words, the “writer” concluded his performance.
The event concluded with a clown, who entertained the audience with humorous movements and sayings, while also handing out balloons and spring flowers. The attendees expressed their appreciation for the topical and multifaceted event.
