Open class dedicated to the 340th anniversary of M. Sebastatsi

On March 22, an open class dedicated to the 340th anniversary of Mkhitar Sebastatsi was held at the "Entanik" Youth Creative Center, with the participation of students from the miniature painting group. The event was attended by students from various groups of the center, parents, educators, and Father Anton Grigoryan, a member of the Mechitarist Congregation. The class presented Mkhitar Sebastatsi's biography, as well as his literary, social, and creative activities. The teacher's talk was accompanied by a film screening that guided those present through wonderful Venetian sights, opening the mysterious curtain leading to the miraculous world of the Mechitarist Congregation. The painting "Byron's Visit to San Lazzaro Island" by Hovhannes Aivazovsky was interpreted, and Byron's contribution to the field of Armenian studies and translation was highlighted. The event was made even more rich and meaningful by Father Anton of the Mechitarist Congregation. He shared fascinating stories and remarkable facts about San Lazzaro Island, reflecting on the activities of the Mechitarists and their rich heritage. Afterward, he congratulated those present on Palm Sunday and presented the significance of the feast. In the second part of the program, an event dedicated to Palm Sunday was held with the participation of students from the poetry theater and dance art groups. As a result of the event, the teenagers connected with the spiritual holiday and preserved folk tradition, emphasizing the invaluable role of M. Sebastatsi, the founder of the Mechitarist Congregation and church figure, in the preservation of Armenian identity and the education of generations. M. Khachatryan
