Demonstration Performance by the Students of the Martial Arts Group
Throughout the year, the students demonstrated the knowledge and skills they had acquired through master classes, individual training sessions, and joint practices with professional coaches from sports schools through a series of martial arts demonstrations. The demonstrations contributed to strengthening the athletes’ physical fitness, intellectual development, and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
As a result, the students had the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and successfully completed the combat exercises. During the demonstration, the students performed hand and leg strikes, katas, self-defense techniques, as well as several Kyokushinkai karate bouts, led by the group’s senior athlete and third-place medalist at the Kyokushinkai Karate World Championship, Vigen Ghalachyan.
Parents also shared their opinions about the demonstrations, emphasizing that the students had acquired not only martial arts skills but also important values such as discipline, character building, and respect for one another. The demonstrations also provided an opportunity to form a team from among the best students who could represent the Center at both national and international championships. Almost all of the students of the “Ընտանիք” Center’s Martial Arts Group possess the potential to become part of such a team.
The next competition—the 9th International Kyokushinkai Karate Championship, the Oyama Cup—was held on June 2 at the Gyumri Sports Complex. The international championship brought together 100 athletes from the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and various regions of the Republic of Armenia.
