“Let’s Build Our Future Together” Summer School Program

The “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center in Gyumri, under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, implemented the “Let’s Build Our Future Together” summer school program from July 22 to 27 at the “Arbanak” Camp in Vanadzor.

The program brought together teenagers from Shirak Province, Javakhk, and Artsakh.

The aim of the program was to foster friendly relationships among school-age children during their leisure time, help them recognize and appreciate Armenian culture, and contribute to their patriotic, aesthetic, and environmental education.

Guided by a military-patriotic ideology, the summer school organized and conducted a variety of activities for the teenagers, including educational and sports games, evacuation drills, first-aid and healthy lifestyle training sessions, thematic seminars, sports, military and intellectual competitions, and hiking trips. Heroic episodes from Armenian history and the Artsakh war were presented. Discussions were also held on the topics “Armenian Freedom Fighters in the Artsakh Liberation Struggle,” “Immortal Heroes of History,” and “I Am the One Who Shapes My Tomorrow.”

The participants of the summer school spent an unforgettable day at Haghpat Monastery, where an event entitled “Vardaton” was organized in honor of Sayat-Nova, the great medieval singer of love and ashugh-poet.

The “Let’s Build Our Future Together” summer school program contributed to the teenagers’ military-patriotic education, united them around the idea of one united homeland, and encouraged their interest in Armenian national state symbols.

The participants also learned how to build healthy relationships based on responsibility, honesty, mutual respect, and care.

The program contributed to the development of responsible and self-aware, patriotic and freedom-loving, spiritually strong future active citizens.
