International Day of Families

The “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia implemented a program entitled “International Day of Families,” aimed at emphasizing the role of the family in building a strong state and fostering among teenagers the values of creating and preserving a family.

On May 14, as part of the program, a seminar entitled “Strong Family, Strong State” was held. It focused on the influence of the family on personal development, the preservation of society, and the formation of a strong and capable army. Following lively discussions, the students identified the family model as one of the most important and fundamental factors in preserving national identity and heritage.

The event held on May 15 began with the opening of an exhibition of handicrafts created by students of the Center’s craft clubs. The symbolic works dedicated to the family attracted the attention of the attendees and impressed them greatly. Joyful songs and dances, poetry recitations, and words of good wishes made the event festive and memorable.

In her closing remarks, the Center’s Deputy Director, S. Petrosyan, added:

“By educating our children, we will have morally educated and strong families, a strong society, and a strong state, because the family is the foundation for the preservation and survival of a nation.”
