Summary of the Academic Year

The “Ընտանիք” Children and Youth Creative Center of Gyumri under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia summarized the results of the 2015–2016 academic year from June 20 to July 12. The annual activities carried out by the Center’s specialized groups were reviewed and evaluated.

Through final performances and exhibitions held at the “Ընտանիք” Center and in the communities of Basen, Goghovit, Yerazgavors, Torosgyugh, Jrarat, and Tsoghamarg in Shirak Province, the knowledge and skills acquired by the students were assessed and demonstrated.

Overall, the academic year was fruitful and exceptionally eventful. The results of the work carried out by the students and teachers throughout the year were evident and encouraging. The students participated in numerous international art competitions, national competitions and tournaments, as well as regional and city events, achieving significant success and taking high prize-winning places.

On July 8, the students of the dance, ethnographic song and dance, and duduk groups of the Center and those operating in the communities presented their finest artistic performances at the final concert held at the “Ընտանիք” Center.

The events were attended by school principals from the communities, distinguished figures in arts and crafts, teachers, local residents, and students of the Center.

A. Minasyan, Director of the “Ընտանիք” Center, presented prizes and certificates to students who had demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and exceptional talent during the academic year.
