"Charles Aznavour: cultural link in friendly Franco-Armenian relations

Gyumri State Technical College N4 and the Entanik Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports jointly organized the final event of the Francophonie entitled "Charles Aznavour: Cultural Link in Franco-Armenian Friendly Relations".

The aim of the event was to acquaint adolescents and young people with the heritage of the great artist and to bring together the French-speaking community under one roof. Representatives of the organization "Œuvre d’Orient" from France, Switzerland and Monaco, members of the Swiss humanitarian foundation "KASA", French volunteers, lecturers, teachers and other guests were present.

The musical and choreographic performances of the center's students, quotes in foreign languages, the story of memories of the family of the Franco-Armenian singer-songwriter Charles Aznavour and the bilingual staging attesting to his literary heritage impressed the audience.

At the end of the event organized as a sign of great respect, Didier da Silva, director of the European network of the organization "Œuvre d’Orien"t, and Anna Unoupoghlian, head of the Francophonie of the Swiss foundation "KASA", expressed their gratitude, emphasizing that such events encourage the spread of the French language and strengthen Franco-Armenian friendship.
