The Feast of Holy Resurrection at Vardanants Square in Gyumri and at the “Ընտանիք” Center

On March 27, a festive atmosphere and particular liveliness prevailed at Vardanants Square in Gyumri. The exhibition-event organized by the Gyumri Municipality and dedicated to Holy Easter brought together high-ranking officials, representatives of educational institutions and non-governmental organizations, as well as dance and theatre groups.

The “Ընտանիք” Children and Youth Creative Center also actively participated in the city celebration with an exhibition of handmade works created by its students. The exhibition featured works by students from the Center’s woodworking, carpet weaving, rug making, and decorative arts groups. The unique and beautifully decorated eggs created by the students using a combination of wood and metal aroused great interest and admiration among the public, especially schoolchildren.

The exhibition participants had the opportunity to experience the spiritual significance of the day, which was complemented by a beautiful folk tradition—the Easter egg game.

The good news of Christ’s Resurrection proclaimed by the Armenian Apostolic Church on March 29 continued at the “Ընտանիք” Center. Students from the embroidery group presented the meaning and significance of Holy Easter, the most beloved and eagerly anticipated holiday of Christians. The colorful, decorated Easter egg competition brought joy and high spirits to those present.

The students of the dance group congratulated the attendees on the glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and on the beginning of a new life.
