English

From April 14 to 16, teachers and students of the "Entanik" Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science visited the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia within the framework of the "Entanik on Wheels" educational program. "Career Guidance" training courses covering various branches of crafts and arts were conducted at the youth educational and cultural centers of Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki, and Ninotsminda.

The staff and students of the "Entanik" Center were warmly welcomed at Javakheti's educational institutions. Students enthusiastically participated in their chosen professional classes, exchanging knowledge and experience.

The lessons also had a thematic focus: through painting, pottery, stained-glass painting, and other works, the students touched upon heroic episodes of the Armenian people's history, expressing their perceptions of the May Heroic Battles.

At the conclusion of the courses, the youth presented their creative works, which received high praise from parents and educators alike. "We are very impressed by the visit of the 'Entanik' Center. My child participated in the painting class. I would like such meetings to be organized frequently," shared Lena Hakobyan, a parent of a student at the Akhalkalaki Armenian Youth Center.

For their active participation, the students were awarded certificates of honor by the "Entanik" Center. The event concluded with ethnographic songs and a joint circle dance.

S. Petrosyan, Deputy Director of the "Entanik" Center, expressed gratitude to Karine Tadevosyan, Chairwoman of the Relief Society of Armenia's Georgia Board, and the staff of the Youth Centers for their cooperation and significant role in the Armenian upbringing of Javakheti teenagers.

Seminars and round-table discussions were held at the Akhalkalaki center regarding the 100th anniversaries of the Republic of Armenia and the May Heroic Battles, the 2800th anniversary of the founding of Yerevan, and the unique characteristics of Armenian culture. In Ninotsminda, students participated in a sports competition and met with local "Youth Union" members.

"The program is a success. I express our gratitude to the administration and entire staff of the 'Entanik' Center. This cooperation is bearing fruit. I wish that this multifaceted 'Entanik' becomes the 'Entanik' of thousands of children, embracing Javakheti children as well," noted Mrs. Tadevosyan.

As part of the program, participants also visited historical sites, including St. Vardanants Church in Akhaltsikhe, Holy Cross Church in Akhalkalaki, Queen Tamar's Castle, and the Vahan Teryan House-Museum. The visit strengthened friendly bonds between Gyumri and Javakheti teenagers.
