An exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Yervand Kochar.

The students of the miniature painting group at "Endanik" Center opened an exhibition dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the renowned Armenian sculptor and painter, Yervand Kochar. The exhibition showcased his life and creative journey. Inspired by Yervand Kochar's art, the students had painted the heroes of the "Sasna Tsrer" epic. The works reflected the heroic strength of the Armenian epic heroes, the dedication to the homeland, and nobility.

One of Kochar's most famous works, the statue of Sassanian David, was painted by the group's student, Arthur Harutyunyan, who had thoroughly studied the artistic techniques created by the painter, from sketches to sculpture. One of the key achievements of the exhibition was the harmonious fusion of old and new in art. The students also attempted to apply the style of early 19th-century avant-garde/ spatialism in their works, inspired by Kochar’s creations.

The exhibition was an excellent opportunity to introduce the students to two branches of art—miniature painting and fine arts—and to the centuries-old history of visual arts. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the teachers, parents, and students of «Endanik" Center. The attendees shared their impressions and wished the students further creative success.
