Isahakyan seminar: A dialogue of peers through the pen

A literary seminar dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Avetik Isahakyan's birth and the 145th anniversary of Martiros Saryan—two giants of Armenian national literature and painting—was held at the Shirak Regional Branch of the Writers' Union of Armenia. Held under the title "The Master in the City of Masters," the seminar united literature, fine arts, and vibrant manifestations of youth creative thought. The seminar was conducted by literary critic and member of the Writers' Union Karine Martirosyan, who presented the depths of Avetik Isahakyan's work, the features of his linguistic thinking, and his spiritual values through her professional insight and literary erudition. During the seminar, the colorful philosophy of Saryan's worldview was also emphasized, alongside how it intersects with the inner world of Isahakyan's literary characters. Students of the center performed recitations of Isahakyan's poems. The seminar was not only educational, but also carried instructional and inspirational significance, contributing to the transmission of literary culture across generations. Karine Martirosyan also discussed with the participants the relevance of Isahakyan's values, especially the need to spread ideas of peace, love, and patriotism in our times. The program is implemented with the support of the MoESCS of the Republic of Armenia and on the initiative of the "Entanik" Center.
