CONTENTS

The role of national instruments in the field of musical culture of peoples is great. In the club, students will be taught the history of the creation of the national percussion instrument—the dhol, along with its structural features and types. They will become acquainted with the performance technique and sound nuances of the musical instrument. The courses will emphasize the musical works and performance approaches of Armenian and foreign master dhol players, which the students will also apply. Works of various styles that were played during ritual ceremonies, religious rites, patriotic songs, and other cultural events will be taught, as a result of which students' musical knowledge will be reinforced. Students will perform in choirs and with the accompaniment of folk instruments, which will also shape their stage culture, help preserve the art of great masters, and promote the popularization of the instrument.

FORMS OF INSTRUCTION

The program is implemented through a combination of theoretical and practical classes. Individual work is conducted with each student; after fully mastering the instrument, work continues in a group. Special finger exercises, often performed to rhythmic music, are carried out through special games. Work is conducted towards mastering stage posture and ethical norms. Open classes, visits to musical orchestras, master classes, and experience sharing are organized.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Within the framework of the program, learners must:

• Master the nuances and performance technique of the instrument,

• Observe the rules for the proper use of the instrument,

• Be able to skillfully play the instrument,

• Preserve the acquired musical knowledge and actively participate in contests-festivals.
