The Month of Motherhood and Beauty at the “Ընտանիք” Center

The Gyumri No. 4 State Vocational School and the “Ընտանիք” Children and Youth Creative Center jointly launched a series of events dedicated to Motherhood and Beauty Day and the awakening of spring.

The series of events dedicated to Women’s Month began with an exhibition of handmade works created by young women.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by H. Naghdalyan, Vice President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Republican Party of Armenia Women’s Council, who had arrived in Gyumri on a working visit; Members of Parliament S. Avetisyan and R. Muradyan; S. Minasyan, Head of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of Shirak Province; members of the RPA Women’s Council; and representatives of various cultural and educational institutions.

The exhibition featured a wide variety of works created by the Center’s students and the school’s students, including landscapes, still lifes, decorative and applied art, as well as various women’s jewelry and unique accessories.

The exhibition was a unique opportunity to appreciate, value, and celebrate the role and mission of Armenian women in society.

The guests also had the opportunity to take part in the students’ practical activities, showing particular interest in classes in carpet weaving, clothing design, beadwork, silversmithing, robotics, painting, and pottery.

Impressed by the activities of the Center and the vocational school, H. Naghdalyan, Vice President of the National Assembly, expressed her gratitude to the administration and staff for dedicating themselves over the years to the education and upbringing of teenagers and for providing them with meaningful daily activities.

“Many young girls and boys here acquire professions and skills that will undoubtedly be useful to them in life, as future mothers and pillars of their families. The designs created by the students of the clothing design group and the garments they presented deserve the highest praise. It would be wonderful if each of us tried to provide these girls with opportunities to receive orders, thereby encouraging their work, which would be mutually beneficial. It would be wonderful if we had similar institutions and dedicated professionals in all cities and regions of Armenia,” the government representative noted.

In her speech, Naira Nahapetyan, Chairwoman of the Businesswomen’s Commission, said:

“We are impressed by this Center, where 1,600 children are able to find meaningful activities in various professional groups. This is truly commendable for Gyumri, because the people of Gyumri have always been creative and have distinguished themselves from other regions of Armenia through their creativity.”
