The series of events titled "The Strength of the Armenian: Aznavour-100" has begun

At "Endanik"  Children's and Youth Creative Center, a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the world-renowned chansonnier Charles Aznavour, under the title "The Strength of the Armenian: Aznavour-100," was launched with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia. As part of the multifaceted program, the results of the center's national creative competition, titled "We  About Aznavour," were summarized. Creative works were presented by 17 educational and cultural institutions from Armenia and Javakhk, which were showcased at the "For You, Armenia" intercultural festival.

The event was attended by representatives of all the participating organizations in the competition, as well as Dominique Vessin, Deputy Cultural and Cooperation Advisor at the French Embassy in Armenia and Attaché for Educational Cooperation, representatives of the Oeuvre d’Orient organization Luc Bougon and Blandine Bougon, the first deputy mayor of Gyumri, Lusine Sanyan, the administration of the State Music College of Gyumri named after Kara-Murza, and others.

The participating organizations in the creative competition were awarded certificates of appreciation, while the authors of the winning works received diplomas and Holy Books.

The event included concert performances by the artistic groups of the institutions, who enhanced their performances with interesting episodes from the life of the world-renowned maestro, the devoted son of the Armenian nation, poet, and singer. The "Kumayri" orchestra of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia also performed musical pieces. The purpose of the program is to publicize the role and significance of the world-famous chansonnier in preserving Armenian identity, and to connect people with the cultural and creative world of the great Armenian philanthropist and National Hero. The program also aims to honor the unconditional dedication of the French-Armenian chansonnier to his homeland and the French culture he carries.

In his speech, Dominique Vessin emphasized the legacy of Charles Aznavour as a cultural and political bridge between the two countries, and highlighted the importance of preserving the values for future generations.
