An Engineering Laboratory Was Opened at the “Yntaniq” Center

On June 22, through the initiative of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and with the support of Ucom, an engineering laboratory was opened at the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of Gyumri under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

The Center’s robotics and radio-electronics classroom, which was equipped with state-of-the-art technological devices—including a high-quality 3D printer, a computer numerical control (CNC) drilling machine, and computers—will henceforth operate as an “Armath” Engineering Laboratory.

The Center welcomed S. Vardanyan, Coordinator of the UITE Engineering Laboratory Implementation Program, A. Ordanyan, Head of the Program, and A. Barseghyan, Marketing Director of Ucom.

The guests were traditionally welcomed in the courtyard with bread and salt by the Center’s students, staff members, and parents. They became acquainted with the Center’s activities, particularly its work in the fields of robotics, radio-electronics, and radio communications. S. Yeremyan, the robotics club instructor, also presented the achievements of the club’s graduates, particularly their accomplishments in the defense sector.

Program Coordinator S. Vardanyan emphasized the importance of opening similar laboratories in educational institutions throughout the Republic, with the aim of developing children’s interest in information technologies and encouraging their advancement in the field.

In his speech, Mr. Vardanyan emphasized that “Only a technological country has a future and can be competitive worldwide. Today, we are laying the foundations for this in educational institutions and giving children the opportunity to use their imagination and creativity to develop the defense industry. This is a field that does not require raw materials, but rather requires thinking and logic.”

Ucom Marketing Director A. Barseghyan added: “By establishing these laboratories, we will have highly skilled engineers, 3D modelers, and designers who will become qualified professionals ready to enter the labor market. They will enable us to keep pace with the technological achievements of developed countries and move forward in line with innovative trends. We are confident that these laboratories will soon become our calling card around the world.”

The Director of the Center, A. Minasyan, expressed his gratitude to the organizers for making significant investments in the Center’s technical modernization. He encouraged the students to make the best possible use of the opportunities provided to them, become familiar with innovations in modern information technologies, develop their programming skills, and use them for the benefit of the state and the people.

The students of the Center, as a new generation committed to building a strong and prosperous homeland, promised to expand and deepen their knowledge and help make Armenia one of the world’s leading countries in this field.
