CONTENTS

During the learning process, students learn national dances and rituals, and get acquainted with national and folk culture. Dance is one of the oldest manifestations of art—a prerequisite for the preservation of national customs and culture. The program is designed in accordance with the age characteristics of the learners, taking into account their interests and needs. The program allows for the development of patriotism, and the love and preservation of national culture. Students study the stages of development, styles, genres, structural forms, and peculiarities of choreography. They get acquainted with the artistic values of Armenian culture, folk dances and traditions, and the roots of national dance.

The club's classes contribute to the self-expression of students' national character traits through dance; students understand that every nation, through dance and even hand and foot movements, can show the characteristics of its nation and its national color.

The dance studio has mirrored walls, equipped with ballet barres for classical dance, benches, musical instruments (piano, dhol, duduk, accordion), and modern musical equipment.

FORMS OF INSTRUCTION

Instruction is carried out through a combination of theoretical and practical classes.

An individual approach is provided to each learner, taking into account their abilities and perceptual characteristics.

Open classes, cultural events, programs on choreography, educational visits, excursions, concerts, and participation in other artistic programs are organized. The participation of a dance ensemble composed of the best performers in international and republican festivals.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

Within the framework of the program, learners must:

  • Master the movements and basic positions characteristic of classical and national dance,

  • Be able to properly maintain dance posture and coordinate movements of different body parts,

  • Be familiar with national rituals and their specific dances, as well as staged games,

  • Expand their concepts and stock of knowledge about choreography,

  • Perfect their professional abilities and skills.
