The seminar titled "The Mosaic of History" was held as part of the "The Strength of the Armenian: Aznavour-100" program.
The life of Charles Aznavour was itself a wonderful film—bright and full of humanitarianism. The seminar titled "The Mosaic of History" was led by the center’s head of the arts department, Eliza Frangulian. The students learned about the national hero of Armenia’s campaign for the preservation of the Armenian people, the ambassador of the Armenian nation worldwide, the artist of the century, and the beloved Charles Aznavour, whose unique and brilliant talent and kindness left a lasting impression around the world. He embodied the fate of the Armenian nation, its rebirth, indomitable will, hard work, and invincibility.
The students were introduced to interesting stories from Aznavour's life, particularly his visits to Armenia and his efforts in preserving national and cultural heritage. Aznavour was a person who, in the world, seemed to be conversing with us from the stage, singing, or simply living on stage. "In France, poets do not die," said the President of the French Republic during the ceremony honoring the great chansonnier. Years ago, Aznavour himself had said, "We are born to die, but before that, we must live." The seminar titled "The Mosaic of History" concluded with these profound words of the great Armenian, reflecting the cultural legacy left by this national hero.
