February 7 was a special day for the town. In the territory of Mother Armenia memorial complex in Gyumri the traditional celebration of “Winter of Gyumri” was held, which coincided with the actual church Carnival holiday this year.The event had joined….
The event brought together high-ranking city officials, religious leaders, educational, cultural, social and youth organizations. Each institution presented its unique artistic performances.
“Endanik” Youth Creative Center SNCO (in Gyumri) presented a typical to the holiday traditional Armenian dish, a performance, dances and songs. The students of the Center performed for the audience “Barekendan” Carnival presentation by Tumanyan. The game of the talented students touched the audience and the representatives of the media and gathered a large audience. Future young actors delivered to the audience joy, fun and all that is characteristic of the holyday symbol. The responses showed that the Carnival is one of the most popular Armenian holidays of long ago.
Endanik also presented in celebration of the Feast by a variety of puppet characters typical to the holiday, featuring different national craft and art works that are of particular interest and admiration among the observers.
