On April 25 in the Ministry of SE of ''Endanik’’ Youth Creative Centre took place en event entitled ''There lived an old, a peaceful people’’ dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The event aimed to introduce the whole tragedy of Armenian Genocide through the Komitas's character, to raise the spirit of patriotism and national dignity, to install in teenagers the idea of being demander. The event began with a scene describing the life of the peaceful people, on the stage was the Armenian hink, the believer Bibles in his hand, whispering a prayer, an Armenian girl bringing water to the reapers, who lived with their work and created. But everything was disrupted by deportation and extermination of the Armenians, because of implementation of previously planned secret agreement by the Ottoman Empire. Participants lighted candles and burnt incense, bringing their tribute to great Komitas. Through the characters of western Armenian intellectuals Ruben
Sevak, Daniel Varuzhan and Komitas and through the view of migration demonstrated the whole privations and sufferings of Armenian people. The students presented the Armenian people will to rise up again, despite of terrible atrocities that they have withstood, to create against the destruction, the insisting desire for the life ; the Armenian and his spirit was not only lived, but also took revenge subjecting of retribution the perpetrators of Genocide. Participating adolescents successively presented the Armenian avengers and their heroic actions. ''My Armenian people, you lived, live and you are living so.’’ The event was concluded with the child in image of the Forget-Me-Not.
