A Memorial and Pilgrimage Event at the Endanik Center
The memory of the victims of the devastating earthquake of December 7, 1988, has remained forever etched in the memories of everyone. The commemorative event at the Endanik Center began with a minute of silence.
The event continued with a special musical program featuring works by Komitas, Vivaldi, Albinoni, and Hayko, performed by the “Mi Sar” Orchestra under the direction of artistic director and conductor Arevik Tanashean, with pianist and professor Mariam Margaryan.
The distinctive accompaniment of the organ conveyed an unwavering emotional and deeply moving atmosphere, further emphasizing the significance of this solemn remembrance.
The evening of classical music not only reminded us of the tragedy of the past, but also rekindled within us a flame of compassion and respect in memory of all those who did not have the opportunity to experience the fullness of life, happiness, and peace.
The 1988 earthquake left a deep and lasting mark on our history, but it also became a symbol of united struggle and solidarity, reminding us that we must support one another in the face of such devastating hardships.
