Memorial Event Dedicated to the April Four-Day War

On April 10 and 11, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center held an event entitled “The April of Living” at the Ashotsk Sports and Cultural Center in Shirak Province and in Gyumri, dedicated to the brave young men who were martyred during the April War. Heroes who had participated in the military operations were also present.

The aim of the event was to strengthen the teenagers’ military-patriotic spirit and, through the examples of courage demonstrated by the soldiers during the military operations, to instill in the students a readiness to defend the borders of their homeland, as well as the will to confront and overcome difficulties.

The event began with the performance of the “Yerablur” dance to the song “The Heroic Soldier,” through which the students expressed their reverence for the memory of the fallen heroes.

The memorial event portrayed the heroic image of the Armenian soldier, highlighting the strong and determined will and the patriotic and dignified spirit of the generation of independence. The participants presented the heroic deeds of 18–20-year-old soldiers and commanders who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Motherland. The performance of the song “I Have the Honor”, accompanied by a slideshow, deeply moved those present.

At the end of the event, the heroes who had fulfilled their duty to the homeland presented symbolic crosses to the young soldiers, conveying God’s strength and blessing to the future defenders of the homeland.

Artur Minasyan, Director of the Center, emphasized the educational significance of the event, affirming that future generations will remember the Armenian heroes by name.
