Concert Entitled “The Colors of Freedom” Dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia

On September 20, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science held a concert entitled “The Colors of Freedom,” dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, featuring the Center’s artistic groups.

The aim of the event was to once again highlight the achievements of independent Armenia throughout its history, emphasize the preservation of national values through culture, and foster a patriotic spirit among the students.

The concert began with a reading of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the national anthem. In keeping with the significance of the occasion, the participants presented the new history of independent Armenia, marked by numerous achievements and challenges.

The event emphasized the values of independence and freedom, which have been achieved through our culture, written heritage and education, inherited patriotism, unwavering spirit, and indomitable will. The symbolic songs and dance performances presented on the occasion of Independence Day inspired the audience and created an uplifting atmosphere.

The participants also respectfully commemorated and bowed their heads in honor of the brave heroes who sacrificed their lives for the independence and peace of the two Armenian states, whose example continues to inspire the younger generation.

“We are the generation entrusted with responsibility today, and we are obliged to make the course of our independent history irreversible.” This idea lay at the heart of the event, and the “children” of independence pledged to remain faithful to it.

At the end of the event, A. Minasyan, Director of the “Yntaniq” Center, also congratulated those present on this important national holiday. Taking the opportunity, A. Minasyan presented certificates to students of the Center’s painting groups who had participated in the 6th International Children’s Drawing Competition entitled “Children of the World Are Friends,” held in the Republic of Belarus and concluded in February 2018.

The World Association of Performing Arts also awarded Murad Torosyan, the Center’s senior dance instructor, and Arevik Tanashyan, head of the singing group, for their participation in a charity concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenia’s independence and the 30th anniversary of the earthquake.
