“The Taste of France” Event at the “Yntaniq” Center

On April 17, an event entitled “The Taste of France”, dedicated to Francophonie Day, was held at the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.

The aim of the event was to foster love and interest in the French language and to highlight the role of culinary arts in strengthening intercultural ties, while drawing parallels between Armenian and French cuisine.

The event was attended by guests from France, representatives of the SPFA organization and the KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation, as well as school teachers, lecturers, and parents.

The hall was decorated in French and Armenian colors.

The event began with musical and dance performances by students of the Armenian dance and ethnographic song and dance clubs. Their moving and patriotic performances delighted the audience.

The students of the French language club then presented the distinctive features of French and Armenian culinary traditions, accompanied by a slideshow. They also performed Armenian and French theatrical scenes, highlighting the similarities and differences between the culinary cultures of the two countries.

The performances were complemented by beautiful and harmonious dances accompanied by French music and the sounds of the Armenian duduk.

During the second part of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to Jhanik Manisyan, President of the SPFA organization, and Siam Atia, a volunteer of the KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation, in recognition of their contribution to the promotion and development of the French language among teenagers in Gyumri, particularly at the “Yntaniq” Center.

The event concluded with remarks by Artur Minasyan, Director of the Center, after which the guests were invited to a tasting reception.
