Gyumri in the Creations of the "Entanik" Center Students
On September 25, the "Entanik" Youth Creative Center of Gyumri under the Ministry of Education and Science actively participated in the annual city day celebration within the framework of the program titled "Gyumri Day." The goal was to involve students in citywide events, foster their collaborative abilities, and convey the spirit of national crafts and arts to the audience through the displayed works. Students and group leaders of the center's decorative and applied arts groups had begun preparing for the event as early as March. Works were created reflecting the distinct culture characteristic of the city. The students' boundless dedication and love for their native cradle were evident in each creation. The center's students' works, created by combining the modern, the national, and the traditional, left neither the residents of Gyumri nor representatives of the city authorities indifferent. Teenagers from Artsakh and Javakheti, who arrived at the center on the occasion of the 25th anniversaries of Armenia's independence and the center's activities, also celebrated Gyumri Day with the locals. They participated in city events—the exhibition, artistic events, and the traditional "Bread Festival." The latter aroused great interest among the school pupils from Artsakh and Javakheti, who were attending such a festival for the first time. "I really liked Gyumri and its sights; we went to museums and churches. It's my first time here, and I fell in love with Gyumri and its people," expressed 12-year-old Gor Grigoryan from Artsakh, sharing his admiration and impressions of his visit to Gyumri. At the exhibition, through their work and creative thinking, the center's students brought a new and vivid tone to the cultural palette of the city, uniquely depicting Gyumri's color and historical-cultural values. The teenagers' works served as a unique call aimed at the restoration and preservation of national traditions, crafts, and arts. H. Sargsyan
