Organ concert event dedicated to the miraculous Resurrection of Jesus Christ

The Armenian Church celebrates the miraculous feast of Jesus Christ for fifty days until Pentecost. This process is called the ancient period. Pupils of the organ workshop of the children's creative center "Entanik" organized an organ concert-event dedicated to the feast of the miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The event began with the Lord's Prayer /Our Father/ and the blessing of Deacon Roman Panikian, the caretaker of the Surb Nchan Church in Gyumri. Anna Tamiroghlian, pianist, professor of the performance department of the Yerevan State Conservatory on behalf of Komitas, Gyumri branch, as well as teachers of the center, pupils and parents of various workshops were present at the event.

The students presented information about the sacrament of the feast of the miraculous Resurrection of Jesus Christ, folk traditions, and then performed works of Armenian musicians, specially designed for the organ, choral preludes, fugues and pieces of European musicians.

The future organists performed organ arrangements of musical gems with great enthusiasm and success. The event was binding for the students, many of them performed on stage for the first time and they succeeded.

Through the program, religious culture and organ technique were assessed and valued once again. The listeners appreciated the unique and inimitable instrument used in the city, the sound of the organ and the art of performance of the students. Through the organ concert-event, the following fact was established: the sound of music can be heard in other small halls as well.
