On May 3, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science hosted an event entitled “Harmony of Soul and Body,” dedicated to International Dance Day.
The aim of the event was to showcase the students’ professional progress and dance performance skills, highlight classical dance as the foundation of the art of dance, and develop the students’ artistic thinking and aesthetic taste.
The honored guest of the event was Hovhannes Vardevanyan, Artistic Director of the “Vardevanyan” Dance Theatre named after Vanush Khanamiryan.
During the event, students of the newly established dance group presented choreographic performances combining classical and contemporary styles. Information about the creative lives of dedicated masters of dance was also presented through a slideshow. Students of the Center’s folk dance and dance groups also performed, along with a solo performance by a student of the “Vardevanyan” Dance Theatre named after Vanush Khanamiryan.
The hall was filled with a celebration of dance that touched the depths of everyone’s soul, inspiring them to dream, love, and spread kindness.
At the end of the event, Hovhannes Vardevanyan, Artistic Director of the “Vardevanyan” Dance Theatre, was presented with a letter of appreciation by the “Yntaniq” Center. The event organizer, Alvard Mkrtchyan, was also awarded a certificate for successfully organizing and presenting the event dedicated to International Dance Day.
