“Volunteers to Armenia”

On February 28, 2015, the “Volunteers to Armenia” event was held in the city of Montebello, California, USA, organized through the efforts of the Armenian Cultural Foundation of Montebello.

The event aimed to promote volunteer work in Armenia, Artsakh, and Javakhk and to strengthen ties between the Diaspora and the homeland.

Students from Armenian high schools in the United States, youth organizations, and the Armenian Students Association were invited to the event.

The hall was arranged in a conference-style format, with each participant having their own booth from which they could present themselves and their activities to attendees. A special booth was also provided where those interested could present their volunteer opportunities and proposals to the audience.

Alongside the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center, the activities of the “Yntaniq” NGO and the “Gyumri State Vocational School No. 4” SNCO under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia were also presented at the event.

The “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center SNCO under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia was represented at the exhibition by volunteer Varuzh Badumyan from the United States.

Mr. Badumyan stated: “We witnessed a wonderful initiative organized by the Armenian Cultural Foundation of Montebello. Many of the participants showed great interest and enthusiasm in learning about the activities of the ‘Yntaniq’ Children and Youth Creative Center aimed at preserving national traditions and culture. They also emphasized the importance of such events in deepening and strengthening ties between the homeland and the Diaspora.”
