“Yntaniq” Center: Miniature Painting Exhibition Entitled “The Reflection of Miniature Art in Armenian Medieval Fables”
On October 19, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science opened a miniature painting exhibition entitled “The Reflection of Miniature Art in Armenian Medieval Fables.”
The opening ceremony was attended by M. Janoyan, the representative responsible for Shirak Province at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin’s Center for Christian Education, teachers of Armenian Church History, educators, parents, and students.
The aim of the exhibition was to introduce the students to Armenian medieval fabulists, the prominent miniature painters of Cilician Armenia and their works, as well as to contribute to the preservation and development of the art of medieval Armenian miniature painting.
The head of the miniature painting group, V. Shamamyan, welcomed the attendees and presented the students’ works.
While working on the theme, the students studied the works of Mkhitar Gosh and Vardan Aygektsi, as well as the moral and educational role and significance of fables.
The attendees viewed around 25 miniature paintings created by students of the Center aged 10 to 18, in which the art of miniature painting was reflected through Armenian medieval fables. The guests highly appreciated the students’ creative work and artistic skills. The parents expressed their gratitude to the administration and staff of the “Yntaniq” Center for providing high-quality extracurricular education for their children and creating favorable conditions for their development.
