Summary of Events Dedicated to Motherhood and Beauty Day
“There is a most wonderful being in the world, to whom we are forever indebted. That is the MOTHER.”
— N. Ostrovsky
On April 7, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia held another event dedicated to Motherhood and Beauty Day, entitled “The Flower of Life.”
The aim of the event was to foster respect and a sense of responsibility toward mothers and to highlight the important role of women in society.
The Center’s students, dressed in colorful and theatrical costumes, brought the warmth of spring and a joyful atmosphere to the audience. In keeping with the spirit of the occasion, the participants celebrated and congratulated Armenian women and girls through poetry, song, and dance. The students also expressed words of admiration and gratitude to all those devoted mothers who, carrying within themselves the strength of generations, give birth to new heroes.
It should be noted that, as part of the series of events dedicated to Motherhood and Beauty Day, the Center hosted the exhibition “Let Us Look at the World with Bright Eyes” on March 24 and the artistic event “Beauty Will Save the World” on March 31.
The series concluded on April 14 with the exhibition “The Annunciation”, organized at the Center, featuring works by students of the miniature painting club.
The exhibition was attended by V. Ghukasyan, Director of the Aslamazyan Sisters House-Museum in Gyumri, Rev. Father Hakob Grigoryan, lecturers, parents, and students.
Before the opening of the exhibition, the priest blessed all the participants and presented the spiritual meaning of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary.
The attendees then viewed the students’ miniature paintings, which had been created based on the works of Armenian medieval miniature painters of the 12th–14th centuries.
At the conclusion of the event, Rev. Father Hakob performed the traditional house-blessing ceremony and encouraged everyone to be compassionate and benevolent like the Mother of God, to be guided by the light of Christ, divine love, boundless kindness, and humility.
