“Yntaniq” Center: My Tribute to the Master
On June 21, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia held an event entitled “My Tribute to the Master,” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Vanush Khanamiryan, People’s Artist of the Armenian SSR.
The students of the “Yntaniq” Center’s dance groups and the “Armenian Ornaments” dance ensemble presented the creative life and activities of Vanush Khanamiryan. Recounting the great master’s titles and achievements, they emphasized that the artist remained in the people’s memory not only as a generously gifted artist, but also as a cultural organizer, an exemplary citizen, and a vibrant and positive patriarch.
During the event, demonstrating an original approach while preserving the distinctive style of the great choreographer, the dance groups performed several of his choreographic works. Through song and dance, the teenagers intertwined a unique portrayal of the Armenian people’s past and present, their struggles, dreams, and aspirations. The event concluded with a collective performance of the “Kochari,” which became a vivid symbol of unity.
The Center’s Director, Artur Minasyan, congratulated the program organizers on another successful event. Highlighting the significance of Vanush Khanamiryan’s art, he noted that such events should be organized more frequently, as they both enrich the students’ knowledge and contribute to their Armenian cultural upbringing.
In recognition of cooperation with the Center, the Director presented a letter of appreciation to Bagrat Hovhannisyan, Artistic Director and Choreographer of the “Armenian Ornaments” dance ensemble.
“I congratulate you on this wonderful occasion. By honoring veteran choreographers, we create an opportunity for teenagers to discover Armenian dance and the contribution of great Armenian masters to this field, while also fostering students’ interest in Armenian folk dances. I urge Armenian teenagers to take up dancing, because we need strong, physically fit young people who embody and uplift the Armenian spirit,” said Bagrat Hovhannisyan in his speech.
