“Yntaniq” Center: Summary of the “100 Years of Victorious Peals” Program

On May 28, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science summed up the series of events entitled “100 Years of Victorious Peals,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia and the May Heroic Battles, which had commenced in February.

The event was attended by descendants of participants in the May Heroic Battles, veterans of the Artsakh war, freedom fighters, modern-day heroes of the April Four-Day War, principals and teachers from various educational institutions of Shirak Province, representatives of national minorities, artists, parents, young creators, as well as children of officers serving on the front line in Artsakh and teenagers from Javakhk.

The event began with the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia, performed by the center’s brass band. The patriotic songs and dances performed on the occasion of the centenary expressed the Armenian people’s unwavering will and faith, courage and heroism.

After viewing the exhibition of thematic works submitted to the creative competition and selected by a professional jury as prize-winning and commendable entries, the attendees took part in the solemn award ceremony.

Arthur Minasyan, Director of the “Yntaniq” Center, congratulated everyone on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia and the May Heroic Battles. Summarizing the series of events organized by the center, he thanked all participants for their presence and active involvement in the program.

For supporting the educational and cultural upbringing of the center’s teenagers, providing moral and psychological support, and demonstrating goodwill, Colonel Margaritа Taranian, holder of the second-degree “Combat Cross” of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, was awarded the title of “Honorary Friend of the Yntaniq Center.” In her speech, she expressed her gratitude and emphasized the patriotic work carried out by the “Yntaniq” Center, particularly its consistent involvement of teenagers from Artsakh in educational and cultural programs.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to the principals and representatives of educational institutions, Husic Feroyan, President of the “Yezidi Union of Northern Nations” NGO, as well as participants in the April Four-Day War Valeri Avetisyan, Mihran Hakobyan, and Edgar Mkrtchyan for promoting the patriotic education of the younger generation and cooperating with the center. The audience expressed their respect and gratitude to them with warm standing applause.

“May is a month of victories. The historical logic of these victories begins with Hayk Nahapet, Avarayr, Sarnaghbyur and Bash-Aparan. These May victories are now joined by the wonderful series of events organized by the center. Today’s event once again proved that victory is granted only to those who fight for it, and the participants who won the competition are vivid proof of this,” said Grigor Harutyunyan, Principal of Gyumri Secondary School No. 20, in his speech.

Director Arthur Minasyan also summarized the results of the thematic creative competition held from February through April. Participants who won prizes in various categories in the 8–13 and 14–18 age groups were awarded diplomas, commemorative medals, and prizes. Certificates of commendation were also presented to teenagers who submitted creative works to the competition.

It should be noted that the children of officers serving on the front line in Artsakh, teenagers from Javakhk, prize winners and active participants of the creative competition, as well as servicemen, visited historical and cultural monuments of Armenia as an incentive and reward.

“I congratulate all Armenians on the occasion of the establishment of the First Republic and express my deepest gratitude to the ‘Yntaniq’ Center, because through such events we also expand our knowledge of history, become inspired, and are educated by the example of the heroes of our homeland,” shared his impressions Karen Hayroyan, a student of Maralik Secondary School in Shirak Province, who won third place in the 14–18 age group in the essay category.

The event once again emphasized the significance of the glorious May victories as a heroic guarantee of the Armenian people’s existence and struggle.
