“Yntaniq” Center: Exhibition Entitled “Art in the Light”
“Our hearts are intoxicated by the beauty that our eyes could never see.”
— George Russell
On May 31, an exhibition entitled “Art in the Light” was organized at the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science.
To explore the theme in greater depth, the students visited the Aslamazyan Sisters Gallery on May 3, where they became acquainted with the paintings, graphic works, and ceramic pieces of the Gyumri-born artists. Inspired by the exceptional talent of the Aslamazyan sisters, the students expressed their impressions on paper in an interesting and original manner, reflecting the vivid and warm colors characteristic of the artists’ work.
To portray the beauty of nature, the students held an outdoor painting class on May 8 in the Central Park named after Maxim Gorky. The aim was to develop their sense of light and spatial atmosphere. Under the influence of these elements, they were able to reproduce changes in color in their paintings.
The exhibition held at the Center featured 14 paintings and 15 batik works created by 12 students. Before viewing the exhibition, the students shared their emotions and feelings about beauty with the audience.
The attendees highly appreciated the teenagers’ creative works, which were created with a profound sense of kindness and a deep appreciation for art. After viewing the paintings, the parents expressed their praise and gratitude to the teacher and the Center’s administration for organizing such an initiative, emphasizing its importance in developing teenagers’ aesthetic taste.
