“Yntaniq Center”: Visit to the National Gallery of Armenia and the Matenadaran

On September 29, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science organized a visit to the National Gallery of Armenia for the winners of the “Aivazovsky-200” creative competition and the Center’s talented students.

At one of Armenia’s largest art museums, the participants viewed the exceptional exhibition of Aivazovsky’s works entitled “Creation.” Accompanied by a guide, the teenagers toured the gallery and became acquainted with the world-famous marine painter’s artistic, graphic, and documentary works.

The young artists were particularly impressed and inspired by the famous painting “Chaos. Creation of the World,” from the collection of the Mekhitarist Congregation of Venice. Deeply impressed by Aivazovsky’s art, the students engaged in a lively discussion about the creation of the painting and the artistic techniques used by the painter, who portrayed the Spirit of God in the form of light.

The students’ educational visit continued at the Matenadaran, where they gained interesting insights into Armenia’s rich centuries-old history and material heritage. They viewed original works, samples of ancient Armenian manuscripts, and historical documents.

The day was educational, inspiring, and filled with a wide range of valuable information for the students.

Upon returning, the students shared their impressions with their teachers and peers and discussed and analyzed the creative legacy of the world-renowned marine painter.
