“Yntaniq” Center: Musical Performance Entitled “The War of Faith”

On May 8, a musical performance entitled “The War of Faith” was presented at the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science, initiated by the students of the vocal group and their instructor. The performance was dedicated to the Feast of St. Vardan and the 100th anniversary of the May Heroic Battles.

The event was attended by Garegin Jambazyan, a holder of the “Combat Cross” medal of the Republic of Armenia, historian Vahagn Hovhannisyan, the center’s administration, educators, parents, and students.

Guided by the idea of “For the sake of faith, for the sake of the homeland,” the participants presented the Armenian people’s struggle for independence in spiritual life and for the preservation of their faith, their determination to remain faithful to their national identity, and their readiness to withstand difficult trials. The students portraying the heroes of Vardanants conveyed to the audience a profound awareness of consciously and willingly facing death and thereby achieving immortality. Alongside the theatrical performance, the students of the vocal group performed four-part songs and hymns appropriate to each scene, dedicated to the martyrs of Vardanants.

The staging of the death and resurrection scene of Vardan Mamikonyan was particularly impressive in its symbolism: the “Sparapet” stands behind the Armenian soldier, giving him strength and encouraging him not to fear the enemy.

At the conclusion of the event, the students, together with the guests, pledged to preserve the Christian faith and creed, follow the example of the brave heroes of Vardanants, and continue to affirm the Armenian people’s will to live and their right to exist.

In their speeches, “Yntaniq” Center Director Artur Minasyan and the attending guests expressed their gratitude to the organizers for promoting the patriotic education of teenagers and urged the students to become worthy descendants of their ancestors.
