
Center "Entanik". Armenian apricot pipe was played by a Polish musician
The Komitas concert series initiated by the "Entanik" center also continued on November 1. This time, the "Entanik" center hosted Zofia Tristula Hovhannissian, a Polish musician and composer, who is interested in Armenian music, especially the Armenian apricot pipe.
The concert began with the first performance of the newly formed dhol workshop at the center, which was greeted by the audience.
Students of the center's duduk workshop, their teacher Gor Manoukian together with the Polish musician presented the works of Komitas, Grigor Narekatsi, Aram Khachatryan, Cheram and Armenian folk songs with overwhelming duduk melodies.
It should be noted that Zofia Tristuli Hovhannissian is also a member of the "Organic News" group, which presents Armenian folk music in the form of jazz. The band released their first album in July 2019 as a tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
At the end of the concert, Arthur Minassian, director of the "Entanik" center, presented a certificate to Zofia Tristula Hovhannissian for the collaboration and her special interest in Armenian culture. The Polish musician thanked those present and expressed her wish to collaborate with the "Entanik" center in the future.
