“Yntaniq Center”: Events Dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia
On September 22, the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science organized an artistic event entitled “We Are Creating a New Dawn” and an exhibition of handmade works by the Center’s students, dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia.
The program aimed to introduce teenagers to Independence Day as an expression of the united will of the Armenian people, highlight the importance of having an independent state, and foster in the students a desire to protect their homeland.
The event was attended by members of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, including Mushegh Navoyan, recipient of the Medal “Combat Cross,” 2nd Degree, and Avetik Melkonyan, recipient of the Medal “For Courage”; participants in the April Four-Day War, including Rafael Hovhannisyan, recipient of the Medal “Combat Cross,” 2nd Degree, Edgar Mkrtchyan, recipient of the “Vazgen Sargsyan” Medal, Artyom Muradyan, recipient of the “Marshal Baghramyan” Medal, and Razmik Hovhannisyan, recipient of the “Andranik Ozanyan” Medal; as well as graduates of the “Yntaniq” Center currently serving in the armed forces, educators, parents, and students.
The attendees first viewed the thematic exhibition of handmade works by the Center’s students and then participated in the event, which opened with the performance of the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia.
The students solemnly read an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence of Armenia and presented the state symbols, emphasizing the importance and necessity of statehood for preserving national identity.
The performances of patriotic songs and dances during the event deeply moved the audience. Inspired by the patriotic ideas and performances, the audience also joined in. A slide presentation depicted the centuries-old history of the Armenian people intertwined with the path of independent Armenia over its 26 years of statehood. This was followed by a theatrical performance entitled “The Traveler of Eternity,” portraying the figures of heroes from different eras and intellectuals who reached the heights of science.
The participants pledged to follow the example of the heroes who shaped Armenia’s history, preserve and strengthen the hard-won homeland, strive for peace and security along the state borders, and pass these values on to future generations.
The festive event concluded with a victorious performance of the traditional Kochari by students of the Center’s Dance Group, which was enthusiastically joined by the audience.
It should be noted that the event held at the “Yntaniq” Center was preceded by a celebration on September 21 at Vardanants Square in Gyumri. The Center actively participated in the citywide celebration jointly organized by Gyumri State Vocational School No. 4 and Military Unit No. 55035 of the Gyumri Garrison of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
The event was attended by representatives of regional and municipal authorities, military personnel, and representatives of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union.
Following the military parade, army hand-to-hand combat demonstrations, and artistic performances, attention turned to the handmade works of the “Yntaniq” Center’s students, particularly the robots designed and created by students of the Robotics Group.
Presenting their projects, the students noted that they were working on programming new systems, seeking to improve the robots they had already created, and were ready to contribute their potential in the future to the development of the country’s military-industrial sector.
Representatives of the military sector examined in detail the robots that had won prizes in republican competitions and asked the students questions regarding their potential applications and usefulness in ensuring national security.
