“Yntaniq” Center: An Event Entitled “Magical Clay”
On June 20, an event entitled “Magical Clay” was held in the exhibition hall of the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science. The event was attended by students of the Center’s pottery and dance groups. The purpose of the event was to foster interest in and appreciation for pottery, as well as to introduce participants to the therapeutic properties and significance of clay.
The event was attended by the administration and teachers of the “Yntaniq” Center, parents, pottery masters, and students.
At the beginning of the event, the students presented the history of clay-making and shared interesting excerpts from scientific literature. Establishing an interdisciplinary connection with chemistry, the teenagers used Mendeleev’s periodic table to clearly explain the chemical composition and physical properties of the material. Information about the therapeutic properties and distinctive features of this magical material was particularly interesting.
A video was also shown during the event, providing another opportunity to appreciate pottery as a remarkable branch of ancient Armenian art and craftsmanship.
In the second part of the event, attendees viewed the students’ individual works, which vividly demonstrated the skills and abilities they had acquired in the field of pottery.
The exhibition generated great interest among those present. Parents shared their impressions, noting that such events not only make their everyday lives more interesting and colorful, but also inspire and motivate children to work even harder.
