“Yntaniq” Center: Cross-Country Running Competition
On June 3, a cross-country running competition entitled “Physical Exercise: The Key to a Full and Healthy Life,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia and the May Heroic Battles, was held at the Central Stadium of Gyumri. The event was organized by the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science.
The sporting event brought together 100 teenagers—30 girls and 70 boys—including students of the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center, the Gyumri Athletics Sports School, the Sports School of the All-Armenian Kyokushinkai Budo Karate Federation, as well as students from various educational institutions.
The aim of the competition was to improve teenagers’ physical fitness, foster interest in cross-country running, and promote a culture of healthy living.
The competition was held individually. The boys competed in a 1,000-meter race, while the girls competed in a 600-meter race. A healthy and competitive atmosphere prevailed, with each participant striving to achieve the best possible result. Parents came to encourage their children and enthusiastically supported the participants throughout the competition.
As a result, students of the Gyumri Athletics Sports School took the prize-winning places in the boys’ cross-country race. In the girls’ competition, students of the same sports school took first and second places, while a student of the “Yntaniq” Center secured third place.
The winners were awarded certificates and medals. We congratulate all the participants and wish them many more sporting achievements.
