“Yntaniq” Center: Participation in the Celebration Dedicated to the City of Gyumri

On September 30, Gyumri Day was celebrated with great fanfare, with the active participation of the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science, as part of the program entitled “Gyumri, You Are the Salt of Armenia…” Teenagers from Tavush and Javakhk also joined the Gyumri residents in celebrating the city’s special day. At the festive event, the Center presented an exhibition of the students’ creative works, as well as robots they had designed and built.

The unique creations made by the teenagers, reflecting the crafts and arts of Gyumri and combining creativity with manual skill, impressed Gyumri residents, representatives of the city and regional authorities, and, of course, Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. He expressed his admiration for the works created by the students of the “Yntaniq” Center through a combination of national and traditional elements, encouraged them to continue creating and contributing to the development of the city’s cultural life. The Deputy Prime Minister also left his signature on the symbolic poster bearing the title “Gyumri, You Are the Salt of Armenia…”.

During the celebration, participants also learned about the newly installed organ at Surb Nshan Church, donated by French-Armenian philanthropist Narine Simonyan. Staff members of the “Yntaniq” Center also participated in the organ’s installation.

During the festivities, for visitors interested in traditional national crafts and arts, the Center’s students demonstrated the process of making carpets, rugs, and silver items, while painting and pottery flash mobs were also organized.

“Every work has a profound meaning. If our children think this way, it is simply astonishing. Seeing these works, one can say that the city is not lost; this land and water produce talents. I am amazed, proud, and happy that this city once again has a future thanks to children like these,” said Gyumri resident Arusyak Kechejyan, sharing her impressions.
