
ʺEndanikʺ Center: Glorious victory at the international festival-competition ʺCaucasus Championship - 2018ʺ
On the initiative of the World Association of Performing Arts, the 5th International Singing Competition-Festival was held in the Yerevan Concert Hall named after Arno Babadjanian from 7 to 13 July 2018, with the participation of representatives of Armenia, Russia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia, Cyprus and the Philippines. The jury consisted of distinguished artists from Lebanon, Armenia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Cyprus and Lithuania. The jury chairman was Arevik Tanachian, a singer, winner of the Grand Prix of 6 European international competitions, president of the Lebanese branch of the World Association of Performing Arts.
In the age group of 7 years and older, participants performed in different genres: academic vocal, stage, traditional singing, jazz, pop.
The 4 students of the singing workshop of the children's creative center ʺEndanikʺ of the Ministry of Education and Science also participated in the competition.
The purpose of participation is to give students the opportunity to present their performance skills, to gain experience of participating in republican competitions.
They performed in the 1st and 2nd age groups in different nominations with the following works:
Norayr Hakobian – Eduardo Capua ʺO sole mioʺ
Sarguiss Hakobian – Vladimir Chainski ʺTchunga-tchangaʺ
Kariné Tigranian - Vladimir Chainski ʺLa bascule à ailesʺ
Garnik Avaguian – Rouben Hakhverdian ʺMon petit bateauʺ
The festival-competition took place through open voting.
All 4 participants took the first honorable prize in their different age groups. The gala concert and award ceremony took place at the end of the competition, during which the teenagers of the center were awarded honorary diplomas and cups, and the creative juvenile center for children ʺEndanikʺ was awarded an incentive prize for collaboration and active participation.
