Another Victory for the “Yntaniq” Center in the IT Sector
On February 11, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises held the final round of the third edition of the “DigiCode” National Youth Applied Programming Competition at the Gyumri Technology Center. Forty schoolchildren from various regions of Armenia and Artsakh participated in the competition.
Shirak Province was represented by 13-year-old Sahak Sahakyan, a student of the “Armath” Engineering Laboratory at the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
The aim of the competition was to encourage and develop teenagers’ algorithmic thinking, transform them from game consumers into game creators, identify talented participants, and provide them with opportunities to develop their creative abilities.
Participants competed in two age groups—up to 13 and over 13—in various categories. The winners were selected based on evaluations by the jury and votes from students of “Armath” engineering laboratories and robotics groups from different regions of Armenia. The voting results were announced during the closing ceremony through video messages.
In the “Armath Award” category, Sahak Sahakyan, a student of the “Yntaniq” Center, was recognized as the winner for his game “Help C# To Get Programmers Love,” receiving a certificate and a prize.
The competition organizers and jury members encouraged the participants to continue creating and to use their imagination and programming skills to help make Armenia a leading and competitive country in the field of information technology.
