The Students of the “Yntaniq” Center at the Spring Qualification Tournament

From March 13 to 24, 23 students of the “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center, including beginners and chess players holding 4th and 3rd sports ranks, participated in the Spring Qualification Tournament held at the Tigran Petrosian Chess School in Gyumri.

Around 106 chess players from various educational institutions and sports schools competed to achieve the best possible results.

The aim of the tournament was to develop the teenagers’ chess and athletic abilities and improve their sports qualifications.

The tournament was conducted using the Swiss-system format. Each participant demonstrated their knowledge, determination, mental flexibility, and ability to make quick decisions in pursuit of the desired result.

The Chess School witnessed intense and persistent competition. As a result, Ashot Koghpetsyan, a student of the “Yntaniq” Center, took 1st place, while Ashot Nazaryan took 3rd place. Both achieved the requirements for the 4th sports rank and were awarded certificates of achievement.

Of the 23 participants representing the Center, 12 achieved a new 4th sports rank.
