Seminar entitled "The curiosities and historical-cultural monuments of Paris"

In Paris, everything is taxed, everything is sold, everything is made, even success.

Honoré de Balzac

The series of events entitled "The Diversity of Francophone Cultures" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and France and the 115th anniversary of the world-famous Franco-Armenian painter Jean Carzou was launched at the "Entanik" children's creative center.

The program is quite extensive: seminars, open classes, artistic events, in which educational institutions of rural communities are involved.

On April 21-22, a French cartoon "Asterix and Obelix" was screened in the center's performance hall. Students of the center's French, English, painting, miniature, glass painting and puppet making workshops illustrated the characters from the cartoon after the end of the demonstration. Students drew their favorite cartoon characters with their imaginations.

Students' artistic works will be published in the 2023 calendar after the end of the program.

Teachers, students, parents, French and French-speaking volunteers from the Swiss humanitarian foundation "KASA Gyumri" were invited to the seminar entitled "The curiosities and historical-cultural monuments of Paris". Students presented a narrative overview of the history of the Francophonie and Armenian-French diplomatic relations.

Through the slideshow, those present traveled to France for a few minutes, visiting the curiosities and historical-cultural monuments of Paris. The students' speech was in French with a parallel translation into Armenian. Karapète Mkrtchian, a student of the painting and French workshop, had made a painting representing the historical and architectural buildings of Paris. Quotes from great French people about Paris were also presented. Each of the students participating in the event presented their favorite place with all its peculiarities.

Then the quiz was also conducted with the spectators, the questionnaire was formed from the ideas presented during the seminar. The participants were awarded honorary diplomas for the best participation in the quiz entitled "The curiosities and historical-cultural monuments of Paris" within the framework of the project dedicated to the Francophonie, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and France and the 115th anniversary of the world-famous Franco-Armenian painter Jean Carzou.
