Event titled "Tyarnendaraj"

On February 18, an event entitled "Tyarn'ndaraj" was held at the "Endanik" Children's and Youth Creative Center of the Armenian State Educational Service Center, with the participation of students of the dance group, which began with a tribute to the memory of the brave men who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the homeland in the 44-day war of 2020 and a Lord's prayer.

The goal of the event was to present the spiritual meaning of Tyarn'ndaraj and to instill in the students the idea that national traditions, ritual holidays and customs that value and preserve our identity play a great role and significance in strengthening the homeland that we have held dear.

The participants presented the meaning of the holiday, according to which Joseph and Mary take the 40-day-old baby Jesus to the temple. An honest and righteous man named Simon, who had been waiting for the savior all his life, upon seeing Jesus, understands that he is the salvation and light of people and comes to meet them, from which the word "Tearn-ndaraj" (coming to the Lord) originated, which means "coming to the Lord".

The event was made more interesting and complete by the stage dances representing the ethnographic holiday.

The meeting concluded with the presentation of ritual dishes and hospitality.
