International Children's Book Day is a holiday for the students of "Endanik"

Since 1967, the great Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, April 2, has been celebrated around the world as International Children's Book Day. Within the framework of the event dedicated to the childhood days of the children's book, the librarian of "Endanik" SNCO center, On S. Hakobyan's initiative, the program entitled "Conquered the World with a Pen" was implemented. The aim of the event was to introduce children to Andersen's life and activities, the rich legacy he left behind, to explore the role of fairy tales and children's literature in children's lives, to promote reading, to develop participants' oral speech and creative imagination. In accordance with the pre-arranged schedule, together with the children the storytellers listened to Andersen's audio tales, readings, analysis of their moral significance, information about the story's creative path, and cartoons based on Andersen's works.

The second part of the program was held at Shirak Regional Library, where a cognitive tour of the library sections was held with the participation of children.

In the reading room of the children's hall, the fairy tale "Snow Queen" was read and analyzed, and the depiction of Andersen characters was done through painting. The coloring helped to make the characters of the fairy tale more tangible, more objective.
