The first stop of the three-day visit was at the youth cultural center in Akhaltsikhe. Educators and talented students from the "Endanik" center enriched master classes in dance, painting, stained glass art, carpet weaving, tapestry weaving, pottery, wool craft, embroidery, quilting, and batik with traditional national songs and dances. These master classes also served as a cultural dialogue for Javakheti Armenian students, providing an excellent opportunity to learn what is not taught at their center.
With the powerful sounds of the Armenian duduk and dhol, educators, students, and our compatriots from Javakheti joined together in a round dance in the central square of Akhaltsikhe. After 30 years, the performance of Armenian instruments in Rustaveli Square once again demonstrated unity, a shared spirit, and the importance of preserving our national identity.
