From June 10 to 12 ″ Endanik″ Youth Creative Centre of the Ministry of SE within the framework of the program entitled ″ Endanik on the wheels″ organized professional orientation courses in Georgia’s Armenian Youth Educational Cultural Centers in Akhaltskha, Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda. The goal of the visit was to promote the dissemination and preservation of national craft and art, to strengthen cooperation with Javakhk educational and cultural institutions, to introduce the students to historical and cultural values. The enthusiasm of the students of Javakhk educational and cultural centers was great. They took part in professional classes with great pleasure, exchanged with knowledge and experience. Warm, friendly atmosphere was created between Gyumri and Javakhk teenagers. At the end of the training the pupils of the centers demonstrated their creative works, and the poster that was created jointly became a symbol of strong ties between Gyumri and Javakhk. The deputy director of ″ Endanik″ center Svetlana Petrosyan thanked Karine Tadevosyan, chairperson of the Board of the Armenian Relief Society of Georgia, for her patriotic activities in Javakheti, then diplomas and souvenirs were handed to educational and cultural centers' directors, for promotion Gyumri-Javakhk educational and cultural cooperation and for contribution to the preservation of the Armenian identity. Active participants in professional orientation classes were also awarded with diplomas.
"Every nation should know the history of its own people and be able to preserve the old national art and crafts. Unfortunately, it is difficult to preserve our national atmosphere in Javakhk, so similar events have their significance and the positive impact on Javakhk youth.",-noted Albert Alekyan, the student of the Armenian Youth Center of Akhalkalak. Directors of Akhaltskha, Akhalkalak and Ninotsminda Youth Armenian Educational and Cultural Centers attached importance to implementation of similar educational program in Javakhk which will give impetus to the creation and maintenance of a national identity. During the three-day visit the Center's educators and students had also visited historical and cultural sites in Javakhk the fortress of Rabat in Akhaltskha, and fortresses in Akhalkalak House-Museum of Jivani. Students of dance and song groups of "Endanik" center performed in art and cultural institutions and Taron Ghazaryan in House-Museum of Jivani fascinated the staff and visitors with his performance of Ashugh Jivani’s works.
