The Army Is Our Fortress: Launch of the Event Series at the “Yntaniq” Center

“The army is the mirror of a nation’s self-identity, the birth of all Armenians, the collective image of the Armenian people, its responsibility, its reassessment of history, and its vision of the future.”
— Vazgen Sargsyan

On February 2, the Gyumri “Yntaniq” Children and Youth Creative Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia launched a series of events entitled “The Army Is Our Fortress,” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army.

The event aimed to strengthen the idea of defending the homeland and preserving its independence, as well as to foster a military-patriotic spirit and heroic mindset among teenagers.

The event began with a military march, followed by the ceremonial entrance of the State Flag of the Republic of Armenia and the performance of the national anthem.

Numerous congratulations were expressed on the 25th anniversary of the formation of the powerful and combat-ready Armenian Army. The role and importance of army-building were highlighted as an undeniable guarantee of our victories and revival, security and success.

During the event, the students performed inspiring dances and patriotic songs.

“Serving in the army is a great duty, while serving in the victorious Armenian Army is both a responsibility and an honor.” Guided by this determination, the future soldier-students, who will continue the sacred mission of defending the homeland, pledged to follow the example of heroic soldiers and tirelessly fight for the peace and security of the nation and the borders of the homeland.

The event concluded with a joint performance entitled “Hayrens” by the students of the Center’s dance and ethnographic singing and dance groups. The accompanying dance performance made a strong impression on the audience, symbolizing the heroic and indomitable spirit of the Armenian people, the power of faith, and the inseparable connection with the sacred Armenian script as a vital factor in preserving national identity.

As part of the program, events are also planned at a military unit and in the rural communities of Ashotsk and Yerazgavors in Shirak Province.

Happy anniversary to the victorious Armenian Army, and may you have a safe and honorable service, Armenian soldier! May your arm be strong, your will unyielding, and your courage inexhaustible.
